About Syndicom

Syndicom, Inc. specializes in developing innovative collaboration environments for education, research and design in the healthcare industry.

A Syndicom collaboration environment is founded on a community of practice which consists of individuals who interact with each other under a set of behavioral protocols to develop, combine and share knowledge in order to achieve common goals.

The behavioral protocols are also referred to as the collaboration agreements. These are collaborative protocols which all members agree to abide by when joining the community or a group. The agreement describes the expected behavior and allowed activities and enables the members to focus in order to achieve common goals.

What differentiates Syndicom’s collaboration environments from others is not just our extensive understanding and knowledge about collaboration, but our proven track record on building collaboration environments for research, design, and innovation.

History

Founded in 2000, Syndicom has developed a cutting-edge collaborative community platform – developed on more than 30 years of research by Raymond Miles (University of California, Berkeley), Charles Snow (Pennsylvania State University), and Grant Miles (University of North Texas).

Syndicom launched its first community, Syndicom SpineConnect™, in February 2004. It quickly garnered wide acceptance within spine healthcare communities. Everyday, spine surgeons log onto SpineConnect™ to collaborate about; challenging and unusual cases, develop novel approaches to treatment, address top challenges in spine healthcare, and create technological solutions that focus on current product market needs.
