Teaming with Titan Spine…

This week Syndicom and Titan Spine announced that they will be working together to implement an online surgeon-to-surgeon collaboration strategy to enhance surgeon understanding and implementation of Titan Spine’s Endoskeleton (R) TA Interbody Fusion Device.

The idea here, Walker Thompson, VP of Sales and Marketing for Syndicom states, “…is to connect experts to surgeons who are new to Titan Spine’s technology.” By improving the ways in which case discussions can happen between surgeons and creating collaborative knowledge networks through the SpineConnnect (TM) community, Syndicom has demonstrated with other medical device companies, the ability to rapidly expedite clinical trials and product development while simultaneously growing surgeon expertise and improving patient health outcomes. A recent survey of active users on SpineConnect (TM) showed that 90% of these users agreed that collaborating with their peers on a dedicated website improved their ability to practice spinal surgery.The continued education and collaboration opportunities within the group and across the community also allow surgeons to grow their own expertise and share it with younger or less experienced peers.

Kevin Gemas, President of Titan Spine concurs, ” we wanted to create an online environment where our experts could easily share surgical tips and pearls, thereby extending the educational process. Surgeons that are new to the Endoskeleton (R) Interbody Fusion Device can now post, search and review cases surrounding it. We believe collaboration will have a direct impact on improving patient outcomes through enhanced knowledge sharing.”

Both Titan Spine and Syndicom will be demonstrating their respective technologies at the North American Spine Society (NASS) conference in Toronto in the next couple of weeks.
