Senior Technical Consultant

  • Department: Professional Services

    Reports to: Vice President, Professional Services

    Mission: This position is responsible for providing customer liaison, administration, and support to Syndicom’s clients implementing ResearchEdge, TrialEdge and SalesEdge products. Assists in the development and delivery of consulting assignments related to business process reengineering, requirements definition, and strategic planning. In addition, this role will be responsible for providing input to Syndicom’s Product Development group related to customer and administrative requirements.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist clients in the management and administration of the ResearchEdge, TrialEdge and SalesEdge groups
    • Provide expert consulting to clients, assisting with:
    • Problem and requirements definition
    • Business process reengineering
    • Strategic planning
    • Assist in the development of professional services proposals
    • Assist in the presentation of professional service and product offerings to clients
    • Partner with clients and Syndicom Software Design Engineers to manage the specification, development and implementation of custom clinical research forms and group homepages for customer use
    • Provide system administration for assigned communities and groups.
    • Develop and provides metrics to enable both Syndicom and clients to manage business processes
    • Partner with Product Development to continually assess and improve Syndicom products and processes
    • Manage project resources, schedules, tools and deliverables to profitably ensure customer satisfaction
    • Participate, as requested in the preparation and attendance at industry trade conferences and events
    • Provide training to clients
    • Work with clients to maintain HIPAA compliance and study/trial regulatory standards

    Contacts: Spine surgeons, medical device company sales and support staff, private practice research and trial coordinators, Syndicom development staff.

    Travel: up to 25% (conferences, training, consulting engagements).

    Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years experience in medical and/or scientific research. Subject matter expertise in medicine, with a highly desirable focus on orthopedics; excellent project and process management skills, including metrics; technical expertise in web-based tools, Excel and/or other spreadsheet/database management tools; experience in research study and/or clinical trial management.

    Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
