Syndicom announces the Case Viewer free medical application for Apple iPhone and iPod touch

North American Spine Society Annual Meeting, San Francisco, CA. (Nov 9, 2009) – Syndicom, the creator of SpineConnect—the leading collaboration platform for spine surgeons —today announced the launch of the Syndicom Case Viewer, a free medical application for physicians and medical device companies. The Syndicom Case Viewer provides Syndicom account holders with access to a library of case studies in a convenient mobile format that can be accessed on demand from Apple iPhone and iPod touch.

The Syndicom Case Viewer allows users with active Syndicom community accounts to view case studies from selected, predetermined groups. The application allows a user to view all of the case details and images associated with a case; zoom in and zoom out to view full size images; and scroll images.

“The Syndicom Case Viewer extends the reach of case studies from the desktop to the mobile devices that physicians are already using, giving them exposure to the ‘best practice’ use of a device or procedure,” said Scott Capdevielle, Syndicom’s CEO. “Medical Device Companies can also use the application to build customer loyalty by highlighting exemplary case studies and driving new surgeon interest in procedures.”

The Syndicom Case Viewer is currently available for the iPhone and iPod touch and can be downloaded via Apple’s iTunes App Store. In addition, Syndicom recently released new features to the SpineConnect platform, improving overall usability and case editing functionality, further enhancing its value to physicians and medical device companies.
