Syndicom Welcomes Mark Epstein To The Team
DURANGO, Colo. – Syndicom is pleased to announce Mark Epstein as Principal Consultant and Vice President of Professional Services.
Epstein brings more than 20 years of management consulting and software implementation expertise to the Company.“My role will be to help our customers fully realize the benefits of the Syndicom solution in achieving their goals and improving the quality of the health care industry,” said Epstein. “Understanding our customers’ challenges and opportunities will enable the Syndicom team to more accurately and efficiently target our software solutions, saving our clients time, resources, and dollars as they create a new paradigm for surgeon education and sales support.”
Management consulting is a primary focus of Epstein’s professional career, which includes co-founding Convergent Group—a management consulting and systems integration firm which specialized in providing business process reengineering and technology implementation expertise to public utility companies and the government sector. Epstein was responsible for the company’s management consulting and development of financial modeling software as well as negotiating major contracts including those with IBM and EDS Corporations.

Epstein retired from Convergent Group in 2000, after it was purchased by Schlumberger—a firm specializing in oil-field services and information technology. Epstein said his goals include getting most, if not all, medical device companies to use the Syndicom solution.

Epstein has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and two Master of Science degrees from Indiana University in Environmental Sciences and Geology. His community activities include serving on multiple non-profit boards. Epstein also recently owned a local acoustic music retail store and is highly active as a musician in the band The Badly Bent. He enjoys outdoor activities including bicycling, hiking, and golf. Epstein resides in Durango with his wife and young daughter.
